Instant Beautiful Nails

If you’re like me, then you LOVE well-manicured nails, but don’t always have the time, nor the desire, to hop on over to the nail salon and have them done. Being a licensed manicurist, one would think I’d just do my own nails, but this too gets tedious. So, I found an easy, inexpensive way to get great looking nails!

All you need is nail glue and nail tips, or toppers. You can purchase the nail tips at Sally’s Beauty Supply Stores, or in the beauty aisle at your local drug stores or any large chain store, like Target or Wal-Mart. Revlon sells a variety of colors and sizes, and they even sell them for your toes! I've found that the nail glue that accompanies the nails doesn’t usually work very well, so I suggest purchasing the IBD 5-second nail glue from Sally’s, because it works better. (Hint: Use a push-pin to open the tip and replace the push-pin to keep the glue from hardening or from squirting out. Also, dab a drop or two of glue into the “stand” to secure the stick and stand together; this helps to keep the glue stick stable when not in use.)

As you can see from my before and after pictures these nails look natural! They only last about a week and they can pop off, but if you carry the glue in your purse (with that push-pin in place) you can glue the tip back on in a jiffy!

You don’t have to worry about damage to your real nails because there is no filing of your nail beds. So, if you only need nails for a night or two, voila, push them on! When you don’t need them anymore, pop them off! Just soak them in some acetone nail polish remover to loosen the glue and gently wiggle them off. There might be a little glue residue left, but that will dissolve after a couple showers, in a day or two, then your nails will be back to normal—with no damage.

For less than 15 minutes, $10 and no damage to your real nails, these are a great bargain!

Enjoy!
